Postmortem

Update 8/26/2025

All remaining customers were moved from Firebase Dynamic Links to HYPRlinks over the weekend. We have been closely monitoring all tenants for the past 24 hours following Google's cutoff date. All systems are currently operating normally. We will continue to maintain close oversight. Should you encounter any issues with HYPRlinks functionality, please contact Support.

Scheduled

This week, we will be changing the mechanism that generates user-facing URLs to address the upcoming deprecation of Firebase Dynamic Links for Android and iOS on August 25, 2025. This change aims to ensure a seamless transition for your end users.

Key Points:

The feature flag to enable HYPR Links (Which replace Google Firebase Dynamic Links) will be turned on.
This change impacts customers utilizing registration flows that open links in the HYPR app directly from phones, QR code authentication flows, or those using the HYPR SDK reliant on Firebase Dynamic Links.
The necessary fix has been included in our 9.7 and later releases of HYPR, which is available for upgrade as needed.

Our team will proactively reach out to customers not yet on version 9.7 or higher to assist with upgrading and ensure your systems remain unaffected.

Action Required:

-Ensure all users’ mobile apps are updated to the latest version. Users must be running at least version 9.7 to continue using the HYPR app after the 25th of August.
-If you need help determining whether users are still on older versions of the HYPR app, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
-Ensure all users’ desktop clients are updated to version 9.7 or later, corresponding with the version of HYPR Control Center that you are running.

If you are an SDK customer we will reach out separately and directly to provide guidance.

If you experience any issues following this change, please promptly notify our support team.
For more detailed information, please refer to our previous communications or contact your Customer Success Manager.
